Vol. 1 includes 18 songs by Stephen Foster, with "The old folks at home" attributed to F. Christy, cf. Grove (6th ed.) 4:377. Vol. 2 contains 20 songs sung by Buckley's Seranders, edited by Frederick Buckley. "In three volumes, containing 180 songs." Humphries & Smith, Music publ. in the British Isles, (2nd ed.) p. 80 notes that Boosey & Sons were at address on t.p., 24 and 28 Holles St., from 1857-1864.
