"I Think it is wonderful because Greece has given the world a culture in language and art that has endured for thousands of centuries and will continue to endure as long as the world endures." By practising their traditions in Toronto, the mayor said, Toronto's Greeks make the city more cosmopolitan and at the same time exercise their right to freeddom, which makes them better Canadians. The independence celebrations included a program of Greek National Dancing and singing."
